A soundtrack release was originally planned for 1982, but it didn't happen until 2011. According to an interview with composer Jerrold Immel published in the soundtrack CD booklet, he asked Carly Simon to write and perform lyrics to the love theme heard during the skydiving scene. Carly considered it, but ultimately declined, so the song remained an instrumental.
