Toward the end of the final episode, Stephen Colbert sang the song "We'll Meet Again" with a large number of his show's previous guests. The song, which was first made famous during World War II by Vera Lynn, memorably also played over the final scene of Stanley Kubrick's Cold War satire Dr. Strangelove or: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb (1964).
