This marks the first time Kaa has a minor role in this film and it was also the last time he is shown as a male character and was voiced by Jim Cummings. In the 2016 live action film Il libro della giungla (2016) Kaa would become a female character voiced by Scarlett Johansson. And just like this film Kaa has a minor role in the live action remake of the original 1967 film.
