This is not the first time that Dub Taylor and Denver Pyle worked together, as you can find them together in an episode of the "Andy Griffith Show" called "Mountain Wedding" in Season 3. Denver plays the Darlings' father and Taylor has a brief role as a preacher at the end of the show where he marries Charlene and Dud.
