In David Lowery's storyboards for this movie, the Indominus Rex behaves differently after killing the Ankylosaurus. It is shown eating the Ankylosaurus, suggesting that the Indominus Rex did not kill it out of sport or defense, but to possibly satisfy its hunger. Another divergence from the movie was that it joined the Raptor pack, all four of them, in the pursuit of Claire and the Mitchells in their vehicle.
