William Windom was a fine dramatic actor, though he had some comedic moments as the star of the sitcom "My World and Welcome to It," based on the life of James Thurber. But one of his arguably finest dramatic roles was that of Commodore Matt Decker in the Star Trek TV episode, "The Doomsday Machine."
