One rejected script for the TV series featured the fully-grown son of Superman and Lashina (from their brief affair in the Le avventure di Superman (1996) series finale Le avventure di Superman: Legacy (2000)) who has long since deposed Darkseid, has become the ruler of Apokolips, and now is setting his sights on Earth. Lashina warns Earth of the invasion, so Batman teams up with Superman and the Justice League to defend Earth. Superman also deals with the guilt of not knowing he had a son.
