Oprah Winfrey and Céline Dion were both approached to cameo in the film. Neither was available for the scheduled filming dates, but they both consented to being represented via stock footage and, in Winfrey's case, a voice impersonator. In editing, however, it was found that the stock footage they had of one of Dion's concerts could not be matched with the movie's own footage, forcing them to represent Dion via a single long-shot of a body double.
