Of the six people (Willie Loomis, Jason McGuire, Angelique Collins, Sandor Rakosi, the Collinsport Sheriff in 1995 and Dr. Julia Hoffman) who either released Barnabas from his chained coffin or who were led to Barnabas' coffin at dusk, all six of them were strangled by Barnabas. Two of the six were bitten and turned into unwilling servants (Willie and Sandor), and three died from the strangulation (Jason, Angelique and the sheriff). Only Dr. Hoffman survived her strangulation and was not bitten when an aged Ben Stokes intervened.
