This movie and Mike Myers' next one, Love Guru (2008), did so poorly, critically and commercially, that he only acted sporadically afterward, mostly in voice-over. Both films earned Razzie nominations for Worst Picture and Myers for Worst Actor, with The Love Guru winning both awards.
