Marie Antoinette's second son Louis XVII (1785-1795, claimant king 1793-1795) died at the age of 10 due to tuberculosis. Louis had been imprisoned at the Temple (a fortress built by the Knight Templar) from 1792 to 1795. An autopsy of the boy's body revealed countless scars from physical mistreatment, though it was not determined whether this hastened his demise.
