According to Michael Mann's official sequel novel, "Heat 2" (2022), after Neil abandoned her at the hotel after almost making her an accessory to his murder of Waingro, Eady was haunted by his morbid sentiment for Michael Cheritto ("He knew the risks, he didn't have to be there") which she could now relate to.
