As is obviously demonstrated in the initial typewriter scene, this film was made early in 1919 before the August 24th accident with a bomb in a photographer's studio that Lloyd mistook for a prop and cost him the thumb and forefinger of his right hand. In every film after this, he always hid his right hand or wore a prosthetic.
