When asked where he drew his inspiration for how to make a "Predator" film, Robert Rodriguez responded he was inspired what to do from Predator (1987), and what not to do by Predator 2 (1990), Alien vs. Predator (2004), and Aliens vs. Predator 2 (2007). Furthermore, he added he drew no inspiration whatsoever from the "Predator" comics.
