There are several references to Giallo in casa Muppet (1981). The character of The Baroness is heavily influenced by Diana Rigg's character, Lady Holiday, in both her personality and costumes. Both films focus on the theft of a necklace and The Baroness's line "someone's stolen my necklace" is lifted directly from Lady Holiday.
