The stage version had a cast of 29 some of whom played about 6 parts while the film had a full cast of about 500 who spent 12 weeks on location in New York around Wall Street, Central Park and the Yankee Stadium while the garage scene on stage was done using 2 or 3 tyres ,some empty oil cans and 2 halves of cars and 3 or 4 dancers while for the film they used about 50 cars and 50 dancers including Sammy Davis.
