Parts of the flashback to the failed hit on the boat were shot using crew members of the NV White Knight as the actual shooting crew. The rest of the crew had already gone home after most of the flashback had been shot. The POV shot of Bourne walking out of the ship was done by Doug Liman with a camera on his shoulder. To simulate Bourne being shot, Liman had the ship's captain's wife hit him in the back. Being a rather strong, Greek woman, the blow knocked Liman down.
