All the baseball scenes were filmed at Wrigley Field in L.A., which was the home of the Los Angeles Angels of the Pacific Coast League. Like its counterpart in Chicago, L.A.'s Wrigley Field was named for chewing gum magnate William Wrigley Jr. L.A.'s Wrigley Field was demolished in 1969 and is now the site of a community center, a mental health center, and Wrigley Little League baseball and softball.
