When the family is singing karaoke together in the opening shot, Evelyn briefly covers Joy's mouth. This is because although the audience can't hear it, the song being sung is "Barbie Girl" by Aqua, and as a mom, she didn't want Joy singing the lyric "you can comb my hair / undress me anywhere." Per an audience Q&A, the original intention was to feature the song more prominently in the movie, ending it with a larger group singing it at karaoke together. Despite featuring prominently in earlier versions of the film, all obvious references to the song have been removed from the final edit.
