For the climactic crash scene at the end of a high speed car chase, director Bill Bennett chose a stretch of the deserted Woomera Highway on the outskirts of the country town of Port Augusta, South Australia. The one lane road rises gently, providing vantage points for the three cameras used to capture the action.
