Elisabeth Shue would go on to feature in another alcohol related movie seven years later, when she would be co-starred alongside Nicolas Cage in Via da Las Vegas (1995), for which Shue would be both Golden Globe and Academy Award nominated for Best Actress in a Leading Role.
