On one specific poster promoting the film, as well as the home VHS/DVD releases that showed the same image, Samuel L Jackson & Kevin Spacey are shown on either side with the word 'Negotiator' emblazoned across them both. The two letters between them are 'IA', with which stands for Internal Affairs, which plays a central part of the film.
