When Kylo Ren insists that Rey's lightsaber belongs to him, he actually does have a measure of legitimate claim to it. Kylo's grandfather was Darth Vader aka Anakin Skywalker, who had that lightsaber before losing it to Obi-wan Kenobi on Mustafar, who then gave it to Anakin's son Luke (Kylo's uncle).
