Unlike the original animated classic, the Coachman is seen interacting with Pinocchio in this live-action adaptation, Honest John and Gideon have a much smaller role and don't sell Pinocchio to the Coachman, Stromboli gets arrested (though not for his actions against Pinocchio but for the cruel mistreatment of his employees), and Geppetto is seen interacting with Jiminy Cricket.
