At the time of production and release, both Polygram Filmed Entertainment and Polygram Music were corporate siblings, so its wasn't unusual for their film's division to feature a soundtrack music selection that was made from the recordings actually owned and or published by their own in-house record labels as they had master recordings rights. Later, when Polygram Filmed Entertainment was absorbed into Universal Pictures, and Polygram Music was absorbed into Universal Music Group, this corporate synergy continued for some films. The soundtrack album has songs written and/or performed and/or published by Polygram/Universal Music Group/Universal Music Publishing when this film was made.
