Though this film is a reboot of the trilogy starring Jason Statham, its plot bears significant similarity to The Transporter (2002), in which Frank Martin is targeted because of "packages" (strong female figures) he becomes trapped with, and eventually chooses to do the right thing in bringing down a trafficking/smuggling ring. Both films end with Martin being rescued by the lead female when he is about to be killed by the villain on a cliff.
