The series was produced using the same techniques as other ITC productions form the same time. Whilst the series played on missions taking place in different locations the film crew rarely left Hertfordhsire in the south of England. Studio scenes were shot at the Associated television Studios in Elstree. Location shots were filmed in locations in the vicinity. The appearance of being further away was created by using stock footage of an actual location and then cutting to either a studio set or a local location.
