In one scene, Peabody and Sherman visit Leonardo da Vinci, and help Mona Lisa hit upon her signature smile. This was also the plot of Peabody's Improbable History: Leonardo Da Vinci (1960), although portrayals of Leo and Mona, and the resolution to the problem, were markedly different.
