Four different actresses played the character of Rebecca Fisher - a record for one character in the show. Jane Hall and Danielle Carter played Rebecca for short stints in 1989 and 1994 respectively, before Belinda Emmett took over the role on a full-time basis from 1996 - 1999. Megan Connolly temporarily took over for a period in 1998 while Emmett received treatment for breast cancer. Tragically, Connolly and Emmett both died within five years of each other - Connolly of a heroin overdose in 2001, and Emmett of cancer in 2006.
