The Goon Squad are monstrous versions of existing basketball champions (and are voiced by said champions too): White Mamba is the nickname given to Diana Taurasi for her talent at scoring in dire situations.Wetfire is named after Klay Thompson's teamwork with fellow basketball player Stephen Curry, which earned both the title of the "Splash Brothers", and for "catching fire".Arachnekka (Nneka Ogwumike) is an original creation.the Brow is an avian form of Anthony Davis, who served with the New Orleans Pelicans team.Chronos (Damian Lillard) is able to control time, and is named for Lillard having the nickname of "Dame Time" (the last ten seconds of a game, which is where his performance is reportedly best).
