New and old cast members were amazed at the amount of practical work implemented. Consequently, they were able to immerse themselves in the sets, makeups and puppets. Newcomer actress Celeste O'Connor gushed, "I came right from my first indie movie onto this huge Ghostbusters set, and there were puppets, things were built...there were just so many practical sets and props, and it was just incredible to see."
