When the longer range missiles are discovered it is noted they can reach anywhere in the continental U.S. except Seattle. During the ad campaign prior to the release of the movie, several posters were created showing nuclear missiles heading towards noted landmarks in U.S. cities, including the Space Needle in Seattle.
