The film was supposed to release in July 2022. However after a major rescheduling in 2021, Thor: Love and Thunder (2022) took that slot, while the Black Panther sequel took the November 2022 release slot of Captain Marvel 2 (2023) when the Captain Marvel (2019) sequel was delayed to February 2023.
