Immediately following her remark "it isn't over 'til the fat lady sings", the large woman who falls from the balcony and lands on Fifi The Skunk is an obvious parody of Roseanne Barr performing a segment of her infamously terrible rendition of The Star Spangled Banner. The woman even spits on the ground once she had finished singing in the same way Rosanne did.
