Jay's daughter Millie in the film is Harley Quinn Smith, who is the daughter of director Kevin Smith (who also plays Silent Bob) in real life. This is why Jay makes the joke "Who's the father? Is it Silent Bob?", why Millie claims to hate directors who put their kids in their own movies, and why Smith himself asks her who raised her. Additionally, as an infant, Harley Quinn had played baby Silent Bob in Jay & Silent Bob... Fermate Hollywood! (2001).
