Hannah John-Kamen was cast as Sonja on May 5, 2021 but reported left the film on March 8, 2022 for unknown reasons along with Joey Soloway. This would have been the second role for John-Kamen who previously played a character named Sonja after the Black Mirror (2011) episode Black Mirror: Playtest (2016).
