When Gene Siskel and Roger Ebert reviewed the film on Siskel & Ebert & the Movies (1986), they not only gave the film two thumbs up, but they gave an on-air apology to Jim Carrey for saying that he would never have a career when they panned Ace Ventura - L'acchiappanimali (1994).
