In the Showcase Round, usually when one contestant overbids, his or her own showcase, former host, Bob Barker was the only emcee to tell their opponent, he didn't care how much they have missed his or her own showcase, if they did not overbid, they would've won, unless, they too went over, although the game usually ended as a result of a "Double Overbid."
