Of Kellan Lutz, Steven C. Miller said: "Kellan is a movie star. When I see him on screen, the way he carries himself and moves, he has that type of swagger that Bruce Willis has. For me, that movie star quality is rare." Early on, Miller said he and Lutz talked about stunt work and the additional physical and time demands working with the stunt team required. Miller commented: "It was important to me and Kellan to be on screen doing the action himself. Kellan was great about that. He wanted to do that too and I think it shows how disciplined and dedicated he is."
