This was Clint Eastwood's first screen interaction with a famous talking, hoofed mammal, Francis the Talking Mule, meeting up seven years later with another one, and that time playing himself, in the classic TV sitcom episode Mister Ed, il mulo parlante: Clint Eastwood Meets Mister Ed (1962).
