Actor Rod Mullinar, who co-starred in 'Patrick' (1978) as Ed Jacquard and makes a cameo as Morris in this 'Patrick' (2013) remake, once played a character called ''Patrick'' himself about a couple of years after the original 'Patrick' (1978) movie. This was in a 1980 episode of the Australian police soap television series ''Cop Shop'' (1977-1984) where he played Patrick McCallum in episode #1.278 which first aired on 8th December 1980.
