The show was broadcast in black-and-white for the first 61 episodes during seasons 1 and 2 (29 and 32, respectively). The final 106 episodes (in seasons 3 - 6) were filmed in color and had the introductory theme song "Meet the Flintstones". (There are 28 episodes in season three and 26 episodes in each of the final three seasons.) Although all materials (episodes, Winston cigarette commercials, plus opening and closing credits) were always produced in color (thus the color versions of the "Rise and Shine" in the opening and closing credits that now air).
