Although the series has had several remakes, none of them involved QM Productions or its successor companies, instead, Warner Bros. has produced all the remakes. This was because when Keith Barish left Taft Broadcasting, which acquired QM and the distributor of most of its series, Worldvision Enterprises, in 1979, he took the remake rights to "The Fugitive" with him, and later gave them to WB just before production of Il fuggitivo (1993) started. The rights to the original series would subsequently be acquired by Spelling Television, Paramount Television, and CBS Studios.
