In Io, robot (2004), James Cromwell starred as Dr. Alfred Lanning, creator of the robot, Sonny, played by Alan Tudyk. In this film, Cromwell plays Dr. Robert Callaghan, the rival of Alistair Krei, also played by Tudyk.
