After time is reset in 1969 and the game is tossed into the river, Alan and Sarah reintroduce themselves to Judy and Peter in 1995. According to Jumanji - Benvenuti nella giungla (2017), one year after that, Alex Vreeke's father finds the board game on a beach, the catalyst for the sequel plot. It is unclear what happened with the game in between 1969 and 1995; it can be heard being buried under a beach of a French-speaking country in the final scene, implying that a similar chain of events happened there, and the game was tossed in the sea again, eventually floating back to the USA.
