When the Predator attacks the riders on the subway train, those shots were completed on a massive sound stage at Fox studios in Hollywood, California. The exterior shots of the actual train, however, were shot in Oakland, California, which is part of the local BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit) subway system that connected (at the time, only) San Francisco, Oakland, Dublin/Pleasanton, and Fremont.
