In the highway scene where the metropolis in the backdrop of the action and the highway in the foreground, a sign shows Whipple Avenue, Woodside Road and Marsh Road as exits off the highway. Being that most of the highway and filming locations were done in Oakland as well as Alameda, the exits are actually ones leading to Redwood City off of Highway 101, across the Bay from the filming locations. All exits are exactly in order as in Highway 101, lead to or go near Oracle's Headquarters. Whipple is the exit to Redwood Shores and Redwood City that's nearest San Carlos and Marsh Road is the exit to those same cities that's nearest Atherton right on the border between Redwood City and North Fair Oaks.
