The events surrounding this story were briefly touched on in Lions for Lambs in 2007 albeit in a fictional manner. In that movie two soldiers fell from the back of a helicopter in Afghanistan and had to fight off waves of Al Queda militants that relentlessly attacked them while they waited to be rescued
