The film takes place in one day which starts at 6:30 AM and ends around 9:30 PM with Jack sound asleep with Melanie passing out on him on her sofa after a few minutes of getting all made up for him. Since they met around 8:30 AM, they have been together on and off for the day for at least ten hours.
