The role of Lilith, played by Debbie Reynolds, somewhat foreshadowed Reynolds portrayal of the title role in The Unsinkable Molly Brown two years later. In the latter, Reynolds once again played a poor young girl who eventually makes a meager living singing, quests for gold, and desires to marry a rich man.
